I bought an LG GSA-4120B drive that is supposed to support DVD-RAM. I am on win 2k and I wish to use it to back up critical data. The basis of my decision was realiability. When I installed the unit I found that it did not come with a DVD-RAM driver but LG provided a copy of InCD that they said would act as a DVD-RAM driver.

My concern is that as far as I can understand InCD is packet writing software. I have read numerous reports indicating that packet writing software is very unreliable.
