• I got my medical in a renewal center the day before rather than at the branch itself. Just make sure that the officer in charge there has it acknowledged (with a stamp and signature) and make sure the receipt's attached. • I arrived before it opened, but it still took me about five hours to get my license. I was ~60th in line and I arrived at 7:45.

So I suggest you arrive at 7 AM and spare yourself the hours of waiting. • The written exam itself is easy. The practical exam is okay, you just have to turn a few corners and that's it. I don't know why others are saying that it's 'designed to make you fail' when it's really straightforward. • You can bring your own car. It's less hassle that way, but you can also rent a car there -- they have both manual and automatic. • There isn't any card yet because the LTO has 'issues'.

It's just paper and receipt, but it's still valid, so it doesn't bother me. L2phx 3.4 1.83 here. • When I got my student permit, it was late in the afternoon so the line was terribly long.
